Buildings AI 2027 is the next generation of building energy modeling software, with new capabilities which will be previewed at its upcoming release event.

PUNE, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA, September 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- CCTech, a global leader in engineering, simulation and digital transformation, today announced the Buildings AI 2027 Release Event, unveiling the next major step forward in whole-building performance modeling. The live release event will take place on September 2nd, 2026, bringing together engineers, researchers, and building performance professionals to preview capabilities before general availability.

𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄, 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Building performance modeling often begins long before simulation is done. The energy modelers first need to interpret architectural drawings, build geometry, define spaces, assign materials, configure schedules, and prepare the model before they can even begin evaluating performance - a process that has traditionally consumed more time than the analysis itself.

Buildings AI 2027 is designed to change that workflow. Powered by Agentic AI and EnergyPlus, the release brings AI, simulation, and interoperability together into a single connected workflow - helping project teams move faster from raw architectural information to simulation-ready models and meaningful performance insights.

Building on the momentum of Buildings AI 2026, this release introduces a set of capabilities designed to remove the repetitive groundwork that slows teams down and reduce human-errors:

𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Direct import of Revit/BIM models and gbXML files into Buildings AI removes the need for manual geometry recreation.

𝗛𝗩𝗔𝗖 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝘃𝗮𝘀: A dedicated, visual environment built to model and configure customized HVAC systems with greater speed and clarity.

𝗔𝗜-𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀: Simple prompts accelerate time-consuming tasks like material assignments, schedule creation, space load edits, and custom report generation.

𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: View, inspect, and compare original and post-processed models simultaneously in real-time, or assign building assemblies directly inside the 3D viewer.

𝗕𝗜𝗠-𝘁𝗼-𝗕𝗘𝗠 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿: Automatically cleans and simplifies architectural BIM geometry for rapid, hassle-free energy simulations and faster project turnaround.

Together, these capabilities let project team members spend less time on repetitive setup and more time on analysis and design decisions - the part of the job that requires their expertise.

As building performance simulation evolves, the focus is shifting from simply running simulations to making the process smarter, more connected, and easier to navigate. The Buildings AI 2027 release advances this shift with new AI-powered workflows, enhanced modeling, and deeper interoperability. The release event will highlight these developments and offer a look at what’s next for AI-driven building performance simulation.
